This artwork was based off some of Elizabeth Murray's work with my own idea. I looked how she makes her shapes and colors blend and look like they blend and I wanted to do that with my shape and the rest of the classes. In my shape I wanted it to look like a mix between two shapes but also match what Elizabeth Murray was trying to accomplish. It was a mix between the letter G and my favorite pro football team, the Tennessee Titans' logo. I painted it green with red. I picked green because it is my favorite color but I picked red to go with it because they balance each other out. After every one got theirs done and we put them together I wanted mine to be a key piece. Its not very big but I wanted it to be a shape that if you took it out the whole arrangement would look off balance. I really wanted this to show balance and blend well to the eye.
Block Portfolio
I really wanted this artwork to show perfect balance and shading. I wanted viewers to be able to look at it and think that it looked balance and properly shaded. That is also the same idea I wanted for when the whole class put their pieces together. I wanted it to look balanced and for each piece to look like it belonged there. Since I really like shading and balance that's what I did to carve out my block. After I looked at my final prints, I was satisfied. This piece turned out really well.

Vessel Portfolio
My inspiration behind this vessel was a trophy. I wanted it to look like a trophy you might get after winning a sports competition. At the end though, it didn't turn out to look like that but I still thought it looked really cool and bright. With the measurements I took before making this I thought the base was going to be the big centerpiece of this trophy. After editing it and making it so all the pieces could go together the base started to be really small and the bowl at the top stood out the most. I actually really like this project, Since I'm not y artistic and good at putting things together this is really cool to me and im actually surprised I made it.

Street art portfolio
My inspiration behind this project was the idea of it being almost impossible to achieve the "American Dream" in today's society. I put on one side a single expressionless person on a isolated part of a canyon . In the deepest part of the canyon it has the words, "low income." I put low income because if you want a nice house with a nice yard and nice family it almost impossible to obtain if you have a a normal job or get payed minimum wage. On the other side of the canyon is a nice house with a white picket fence. That side of the canyon is also painted the colors of the American flag. I tried to create balance with the American flag and the black side of the canyon. The background is also pure white to make the only colors painted on to be bold and stand out. With this project I wanted to create a simple looking image that makes the viewers think in able to figure out the message.
